The Sculptor Galaxy, also known as the Silver Coin or Silver Dollar Galaxy, NGC 253, is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Sculptor.

Estimated to be roughly 11,4 million light years away, NGC 253 is also considered one of the brightest and most easily viewed galaxies in the sky, after Andromeda.
